Images
• Images used in offset printing should be saved as tiff files at 300 dpi and the size to be printed. Anything less than 300 dpi will result in poor print quality.
• Images should also be saved as CMYK, not RGB if we are printing in full color and grayscale if printing in black and white.
• If images are linked and not embedded in the file, please include the separate image files.
Graphics
• Logos and line art are best if kept in native file format or exported as .eps files. .jpeg, .tiff and other formats are sometimes impossible to use if spot colors or trapping is involved.
Fonts
• The most common delays in printing are caused by missing fonts. If you are using a PC, go to control panel, then to the fonts folder, locate the font you used and save a copy of the font to be sent with your artwork. If you are using a Mac, go to the system folder then fonts folder and save a copy to be sent with your artwork.
• Please use fonts that are on your machine and be cautious when using style palettes in some programs because you may not have that font in small caps, italic, black or whatever you choose.
Dimensions
• As a general rule, always create your document to the exact size it will be cut.
• If your document requires bleeds (a picture or color to the edge of the page, no white space) then create your document with an extra 1/8th of an inch (.125 in.) so that when the piece is cut, there will be no whitespace.
Colors
• Please use CMYK for process color printing and Pantone colors for spot color printing.
